Jurassic World:Fallen Kingdom Trailer

The island that Jurassic World was built on is about to succumb to a volcano. “The powers that be” mount a rescue mission to save the Dino’s before they are lost to extinction again. Wait, what?

So the trailer is all action and very little dialogue except say for Jeff Goldblum’s fantastic monotone testimony reminding us of his philosophy that “…If we are not careful they (Dinosaurs) will be here after. (we are gone)” and “Life can’t be contained. Life breaks free. Life…finds a way.”

Does every Chris Pratt movie have to come with a classic oldies music cue? As with a lot of Big Movie Hollywood trailers, I feel like Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom really showed a lot of plot points that might have been better left unseen. There’s a lot of running and screaming, which is always to be expected in a “Jurassic” movie. A T-Rex, and a bigger T-rex (I know they are two different species). The plastic human hamster ball and…did I mention the classic oldies song?

The plot for this one really leaves me scratching my head. The trailer shows a congressional meeting on whether the dinosaurs should be saved, obviously, someone felt they should. With the inherent chaos that is the state of our actual government, the film makers might be saying that even obvious decisions aren’t easy to come by. Stupid idea for a movie but hopefully it plays out in the end or at least is a fun ride!

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom opens in theaters June 22nd.
