Last episode, Kara finally kissed James except this activated Myriad, the plan of Non and the Kryptonians. DEO, Lucy (controlled by Myriad) is reporting to Non who wants the White Martian to remain in his cell. Lucy goes to see Maxima (Eve Torres) in her cell. She first appeared in Action Comics #645 (1989). She was played by Charlotte Sullivan in the Smallville episode “Instinct” (2008). Maxima is released and eventually joins Non, but she is knocked out by Supergirl. Lucy and her soldiers use Kryptonite bullets, but Supergirl activates her pod and shuts down the prisoner release. She flies to the Fortress of Solitude and calls out Kelex, the Kryptonian robot servant. Supergirl asks about her cousin, Kal-El, but he’s off world. The hologram of her mother, Alura, appears. She says, “Once started, Myriad cannot be stopped.” A bus is stopped by a blockade looking for two fugitives. Alex with blond hair(!) and sunglasses is there with her son, who has red eyes, Martian Manhunter. Supergirl arrives at Catco, the workers are mindless at their tasks, including Winn and James. General Sam Lane on the news reports that National City is blocked off. Supergirl contacts him and says Lucy is safe. Cat enters and says, “Call Harrison Ford, I’m flattered, but I do not date older men.” This is the best line of the episode! Supergirl gets a message that Superman is on his way. He flies down to the street, possessed by Myriad. Maxwell Lord enters also free of Myriad and he explains that ion blockers including the ones he put in Cat’s earrings stop the Myriad signal. Non was using Lord’s satellites to transmit the Myriad message.
