Yesterday evening’s Big Screen Achievement Awards closed out the Cinemacon. Jack Huston, who is in the Ben-Hur film out on August 12th, was given the Rising Star of the Year Award. The director of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Dave Green, accepted the Male Star of Tomorrow Award on behalf of Stephen Ammell who plays Casy Jones in the film. The other awards include Gina Rodriguez for Female Star of Tomorrow Award. Jesse Eisenberg for Male Star of the Year Award. Susan Sarandon won the Cinema Icon Award. Producer of the Year was given to Jason Blum. Breakthrough director of the Year award was given to Nate Parker whose film The Birth of a Nation will be released on October 7th. The Ensemble of the Universe Award was given to the cast of Independence Day: Resurgence; Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth, Vivica A.
