Once Upon a Time, “The Other Shoe”, Review!

Regina, David, and Mary Margaret enter the prison, Regina gets a tray, she has her lasagna “fit for a king.” Hyde is there finishing off a lasagna enjoying the hospitality of his cell. Granny’s, Henry enters with a recording all of the newcomers to Emma and Hook. Ashley (Jessy Schram) is looking to open a daycare with free babysitting. Hook entertains the little girl, Alexandra. Flashback, to Ella sweeping under the criticism of her stepmother, Lady Tremaine (Lisa Banes). Her stepsisters shuffle out to hear a rider, Jacob (Max Lloyd-Jones), giving an invitation to the ball. Lady Tremaine looks for dresses for her daughters and they taunt Ella for wanting to go to the ball. She pulls out a pink dress from her mother and Clorinda (Mekenna Melvin) throws it into the fire. They mock her saying the cinders on the dress giving her the name Cinderella. She looks at the burnt dress and sees a mouse, Gus, then a large key drops out to another world, the Land of Untold Stories. Emma walks into a session with Archie and LeRoy (Grumpy). She’s worried about her shaking hand that ends her magic. Emma is keeping secret the vision of her death. Emma runs into Thomas with Alexandra worried about the stepsister now Brenda. She clouds a shoe to find Cinderella. Jekyll is formulating a serum, but he needs his lab to make it work. Regina is stressed with Mary Margaret who then talks to David, she wants to be a teacher. Henry and Hook practice fencing with wood sticks. Emma drops the shoe that flies off to Cinderella. The ball, Cinderella is there with her blue dress from her fairy godfather and bumps into Snow White. The prince (Tim Phillipps) eyes Cinderella as Snow White is swept away by her prince. He offers her a dance after she shows him her glass slippers. Clorinda talks with the prince and her stepmother sows doubt in her mind. Cinderella runs away losing one slipper.
Mr. Gold’s shop, David shows Rumple the coin. Cinderella looks at her glass slipper, Gus points out the key, she uses the key to open a portal. Clorinda confides the prince was talking to her because she is going to marry Jacob. Storybrooke, Ashley has a rifle when the shoe brings Emma, Henry, and Hook. She admits that she was the wicked stepsister, nice. Emma can’t stop her, her hand shakes. Regina talks to Zelena and sees a rattle from the Evil Queen. The Evil Queen, in blue dress, sees Henry, Emma, and Hook. She promises no happy ending for Ashley and purple clouds them away on a road. David gives a cassette tape from Rumple to Belle. Henry and Hook want Emma to think like a bondsperson. Henry has found Clorinda’s story, stepmother shows her anger to Cinderella, and finds the glass slipper. Cinderella lets slip that Clorinda is at the guard tower and stepmother shatters the slipper. Ashley reaches the barn with the wounded Clorinda, she’s faking, Lady Tremaine has the rifle! Flashback, Cinderella is locked away as the prince and Snow White reach her house. Gus slips out and leads them to the door. The prince opens the door and wants to make her Princess Ella. They kiss. Ella hurries off as Clorinda and Jacob are in the woods. Lady Tremaine hits Jacob and stopped by Cinderella. Stepmother is not happy and enters the Land of Untold Stories taking Clorinda. Lady Tremaine has the help of the Evil Queen, Jacob is there, Cinderella stands in the way. Stepmother stabs Ashley, Emma walks in, her shaking hands stop for her to heal Ashley. Out of a car, Regina and Mary Margaret take Jekyll to a garage belonging to Dr. Whale (David Anders) known as Frankenstein. Stepmother is cleaning up the town under watch by Leroy. Emma tells Hook to move in with her. They kiss. David is up worrying about the coin. Mary Margaret wants him to stay not go off on revenge. Belle plays the tape, talking to his son, Rumple walks up to Hook’s ship. Hyde’s cell, the Evil Queen is not happy, she purple clouds away his chains and opens the door so they can walk out. Two weeks to Aladdin? Four Daggers of the Dark One out of Five!
