Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Caught Reading

Thanks to Screen Gems The Jane Austin book club caught a zombie virus at the TCL Chinese Theater and Hot Topic in Hollywood this past weekend.  To celebrate the opening of the new movie, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, in theaters February 5th, Sony Pictures partnered with Just Jared and set the world record for the most zombies reading Jane Austen at one time.

Screen Gems had makeup artists from the Cinema Make Up School in Hollywood on hand at the theater to get audience members zombiefied!

As an added bonus Hot Topic had an in store signing by Lily James, Matt Smith, Bella Heathcote, & Douglas Booth who also took time to pose for the Zombies Caught Reading World Record Event.

Pride Prejudice and Zombies takes place in 19th Century England and is a reimagining of Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes. Elizabeth Bennet played by (Lily James) is a master of martial arts and weaponry and the handsome Mr. Darcy (Sam Riley) is a fierce zombie killer, yet the epitome of upper class prejudice.  As the zombie outbreak intensifies, Darcy must swallow his pride and join forces with the beautiful yet deadly Bennet sisters on the blood-soaked battlefield in order to conquer the undead once and for all!
